The only toilet on the minquiers, is not only a peaceful retreat, it's the most southerly W.C. in the British Isles, with it's own flushing bucket supplied! You may be wondering why the door is painted blue, white and green, this is due to the fact that in 1998 some French 'invaded' the Minquiers on behalf of the 'King of Patagonia' in 'retaliation' for the British occupation of the Falkland Islands, they raised the flag and painted the door. The locals seem to like their new colour scheme and it's a memory of their colourful history.
